Friends & Family Association

Welcome to the Clyst Heath School Family and Friends Association.

We are a collection of parents, carers, teachers and staff who’s key aims are to help enrich the pupils of the schools learning through raising some much needed funds and to create a school community to be proud of.

There are many different ways you can get involved, so whether you have minutes to spare or hours, we would LOVE to have you on board!

What We Want To Achieve

Our main priority is to raise funds that can be spent benefitting our children. At the beginning of the year, we invite all parents, carers, and teachers to our open meeting where we will decide what we are specifically going to raise funds for. Then, we plan events and ideas to help do this. Our second priority is to build upon the school community. We want an association where people make friends, help each other, and enjoy working towards a common goal.

Ways you can help

Volunteer

We always need people to help us at events such as coffee mornings, Discos and Summer Fairs. We also need volunteers to run our website, manage second hand uniform, or make up sweet bags. There are volunteer opportunities for everyone, whether you work full time, are a stay at home parent, or can’t make it in to school. Keep an eye out on the Facebook page, our website, or our noticeboard in school for all the volunteer opportunities.

Share Your Ideas

We are always keen to hear new ideas and would love to hear yours! You might have an idea for a new event or a suggestion for a community initiative. Either way, we always want to hear from you! Get in touch on social media or you can email us at clystheathffa@gmail.com

Become A Class Rep

If you want to get more involved then we have the perfect opportunity for you! A Class Representative is a member of the FFA who is responsible for communicating and organising their “class community”. Duties will include giving out information about certain events, gathering volunteers within your class, collecting donations (be it money or items) and encouraging parents to get involved. Class reps may also wish to help grow their “class community” by organising social events or family days where people can get to know one another and children are able to socialise out of the classroom.
