In September 2018, Countess Wear Community School entered into a Management Partnership Agreement with Clyst Heath Nursery and Community Primary School.

This agreement has been wholly supported by the governors and staff of both schools and is a pre-cursor to the possibilities of a sustained partnership between the two schools as we move into the future.  The Management Partnership will be in place for four terms in total.

The agreed aims of the Management Partnership are:

To share strategic leadership to enhance further the quality of education in both schools

To build leadership capacity and secure high quality leadership at Countess Wear and Clyst Heath primary schools

To continue to develop robust school improvement practices so that teaching and learning raises standards and sustained pupil progress is secured at both schools

To ensure that the two governing boards work in partnership to improve outcomes for all children

To continue to provide learning and developmental opportunities for staff in both schools

To ensure the continuing development of both schools whilst maintaining the individual characteristics, ethos, distinctiveness and strengths of each school

In the context of wider collaborative discussions, to make an informed decision about a federation between the two schools in the future

The aims and values of the Management Partnership are monitored by a designated committee which includes the Chairs of both Governing Body’s

Mrs Karen Hadley, the substantive Headteacher of Clyst Heath Nursery and Community Primary School, has been appointed to the position of Executive Headteacher for both schools.

This is a strategic post and involves working closely with the senior teams and staff from both schools.

At Clyst Heath, the Head of School is Mrs Emma Bennett and the Assistant Headteacher is Mr Jeremy Davy.
