The Clyst Heath After School Care Club is held within the grounds of the primary school and is run by experienced and enthusiastic staff.
The club benefits from its own designated area with an outdoor space where the children can get plenty of physical activity and fresh air. The children also have their own pet goldfish called 'Nemo' and are encouraged to look after the fish by regularly cleaning the tank and giving him food each day.
The emphasis at the club is based on creating a fun and relaxing environment at the end of a busy day for all children who attend the school from Reception to Year 6. The sessions run from 3 – 6 pm each day and the children are provided with a healthy snack with drinks available at all times. An activity is planned daily which includes cookery, arts and crafts, computers and lots of fun and games. The children are involved in activity planning through regular group meetings.
We ensure all children feel safe and secure and positive behaviour is frequently rewarded.
